Data Visualization & Charting Calculators
Turn a list of values into a chart and the summary numbers behind it.
A chart is a summary of data made visible. The right chart depends on the question: histograms and frequency polygons show the shape of a distribution, box plots compare spread and outliers, and pie charts show parts of a whole.
The tools in this category build the underlying numbers, such as class widths, frequencies, and fences, alongside the visual, so you can see where the chart comes from.

Key concepts
- Frequency and relative frequency
- Frequency is a count of observations. Relative frequency divides that count by the total, giving a proportion.
- Class width
- The size of each interval in a grouped frequency table. It controls how much detail a histogram shows.
- Control limits
- Boundaries on a chart used to judge whether a process is behaving consistently.
